BREAKING NEWS

Our school website has been redone! As a result of this, you may now view the newsletter online or you can register on the website for the newsletter to be sent to you each week. Please note that we will no longer be sending emails individually, unless you have registered online. Our web address is www.courtney.co.za.

SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS

School photographs will be taking place on Friday, 7 November. A letter with the information will be handed out on Monday, 3 November. Please send the reply slip together with the package option and money to school before Thursday, 6 November otherwise no photos will be taken.

CONCERT INFORMATION

Concert tickets are now on sale! Tickets are R50-00 and are available from the school office. Please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

During the coming week, each family will be receiving a letter which provides the cost of each child’s costume. Please pay the amount at the school office, in cash, before Wednesday, 12 November.

FAREWELL

We would like to express farewell to Teacher Ailene, who will be leaving Courtney House at the end of the year, due to health concerns. Teacher Ailene has been a member of the staff since 2003, and will be missed as a teacher and coordinator. In the New Year, Teacher Ailene will be presenting extra lessons to some of the Courtney House students. We would like to wish her everything of the best for the future, and look forward to her contribution in her new role.

OPEN AFTERNOON

Open Afternoon will be taking place on Wednesday, 5 November, for Grades R – IGCSE1. If you are unable to attend, please make an appointment to see the relevant teachers or ask for your child’s files to be sent home.

INFORMATION ON CAREERS – SENIOR STUDENTS

During the last two weeks of term, we would like to put time aside to bring about awareness among our senior students, about the numerous career opportunities available. Thus, we would like to request of any parent who would like to give a talk to our senior students about their profession, career or job, to please contact the school and leave their details with our administrator, Michéle-Ange.
