Congratulations
We are thrilled to announce that Mikhail Kessery (Grade 2) has been selected to represent South Africa at the International Shotokan Development Karate Championships in Stellenbosch later this year. Mikhail will also receive Academy National Development Colours. Well done, Mikhail, on your exceptional achievement.
Used Toothbrushes
The Pre-Reception class requests any old and used toothbrushes to be handed in at the school office during the week. They require these for their art activities.
Courtney House International Science Fair
A reminder that this event takes place on 17th August and that all science fair projects (Grade 4-7) should be completed by 11th August.
Extra Murals
Please ensure that the envelopes provided are used to tick the extra mural choices and the exact payment is enclosed in the envelope. The school office may not receive payment for extra murals if this is not enclosed in the envelope.
Fun Aerobics and Extra Junior French
These extra mural activities shall only commence once Teacher Sandra has returned from Gabon.
Painting Aprons
Teachers request that children have painting aprons at school to be used on days when they do art activities so as to protect their clothing from becoming stained and ruined.
Book Sale
The Travelling Bookshop shall be available at the Senior Campus (202 Main Street) on Wednesday 27 July from 12:00 till 16:00 with a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books on sale. These books are suitable for ages 4 to 16 years and range from R20 to R120 in price. Children and parents are invited to attend the sale and purchase a book or two!
Senior Tour
The Senior Educational Tour for Grade 7, Checkpoint and IGCSE students has been confirmed for 14 to 22 September 2011. Parents are urged to ensure that all final payments and consent forms are finalised as soon as possible. The second payment is due by 12th August. For further enquiries, please contact Teacher Demi.
No School
There is no school on 8th and 9th August due to the Public Holiday (National Women’s Day) which falls on 9th August.
