International Earth Hour Event
Thank you to all children, students and families who attended the International Day Event on Saturday.
A special word of thanks to the families from the following countries who presented wonderful displays to showcase their country of origin and heritage: South Africa; Malaysia; Romania; Egypt; Canada; Poland; Kenya; Iran; Sri-Lanka; Angola; Spain; Ethiopia; Nigeria; Sudan; Cameroon; Norway and Lesotho.
Teachers and staff of Courtney House are thanked for their excellent efforts in making the event such a huge success.
Sport Facility
We are proud to announce that Courtney House shall be using the Sport Facilities at St John Vianney Seminary (Main Street) for all Physical Education Lessons. These facilities include a Soccer Field, Basketball Court, Tennis Court and Squash Court. Class PE lessons as well as afternoon coaching shall now take place at this new venue.
World Water Day
The Pre-R to Grade 8 children celebrated International Water Day, 22 March, by engaging in a variety of environmental activities directed towards water conservation. These included making rain shakers; water filters; rain gauges and presentations on the water cycle. Thank you to Teachers Amy and Catalina for their insightful contributions to making the water awareness programme so valuable.
Entrepreneur’s Day
The Grade 3 class will hold their Entrepreneur’s Day on Tuesday 12 April at the Junior Campus. Parents are urged to assist their children with the preparation thereof. For further information, please contact Teacher Heidi.
Term End
The first term draws to a close for all children and students who are not writing International Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations in May-June on Friday 15 April at normal school time. These students return to school on 10 May.
Students writing May-June examinations will have school as usual until Thursday 21 April. These students return to school on 3 May.
